March is here and soon we will be recognizing such important events as the First Day of Spring, Daylight Savings, St. Patrick’s Day, Passover and Easter . Whew! Not to mention our new Specialty Cupcake and Galette flavors, and the other events we are planning this month to make it fun and delicious (and of course, gluten-free).
Each weekend in March we will offer up our Specialty Cupcakes and our Specialty Vegan Cupcakes which are Cookies and Cream and Avocado Chocolate (v). Avocado and chocolate might not sound like a natural combination and perhaps some folks would even turn their noses up at the thought, but let me tell you it is really, really good. The avocado gives the vegan frosting a smooth, creamy texture that mimics butter in a surprisingly convincing way.
Oh, and let’s not forget our Galettes and the new little Love Bites that have been showing up here and there. The Galette flavor for the month of March is Key Lime Cheesecake. Citrus is in season and, well, cheesecake is always in season. The combination of bright, sweet citrus and cheesecake and pastry dough is hard to beat. Love bites are tiny little heart shaped cakes draped in ganache and they are super cute and so good. Love bites show up without notice and go quickly, so come in often to score one.
